St. Vincent de Paul of Washington County has announced a reinforced donation policy aimed at improving safety, reducing disposal costs, and ensuring donated items can best support the organization’s mission of serving local individuals and families in need. The updated guidelines emphasize the importance of donating items that are clean, gently used, and in working condition while outlining certain items that cannot be accepted due to safety, environmental, or operational concerns.
The reinforced policy helps protect staff, volunteers, and customers, supports responsible recycling and disposal practices, and allows more resources to be directed toward community assistance programs that serve more than 5,000 people each year. |
