Donation Policy
We always appreciate the generosity of our donors. Sometimes it is necessary to say no to some items. Either due to current government regulations or the lack of need for certain items along with the high cost of recycling. The list below will help you with items we accept and items we cannot accept.
All donated items must be in good working order.
We gladly accept all kinds of gently used and like-new:
Clothing & Shoes: Ladies, Men’s, Children’s, Baby’s
House wares: dishes, pots/pans, cooking utensils, silverware, glassware, knickknacks, bowling balls, towels, curtains, drapes & rods, collectibles.
Furniture: Chairs, tables, bookcases, dressers, wood desks, couches, lamps, area rugs, patio furniture. Note: The Hartford Store is no longer accepting Furniture. Toys: games, stuffed animals, action figures, dolls, cars, trucks, etc.
Baby items: walkers, changing tables, cribs, highchairs, playpens, strollers, swing, car seats, toys.
Sporting Goods: Bicycles, Scooters, Skis, Skateboards, Snowboards, Skates, Golf Clubs, etc.
Pet Supplies: Gently used collars, bowls, cages, tanks, toys, etc.
Electronics: LED & LCD TVs, radios, small appliances, portable stereos, vacuums, DVD & CD players, microwaves, game consoles, computers, laptops, printers, clocks, accessories.
Medical: wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, toilet seat risers, shower chairs.
Books/Movies: CD’s, records, hardcover/paperback books, DVD’s, magazines.
E-Recycling at all Stores!
Fees must be paid for in the store before driving around to Donation Area.
$20.00 recycling fee for CRT (tube style) TV’s and Computer Monitors
$20.00 recycling fee for home dehumidifiers
$40.00 recycling fee for Console, Projection, & Plasma TVs
We will be accepting all home electronics for donation including Cell phones, Computers, VCRs, DVD Players, Microwaves, Printers. No Large Appliances, Light bulbs, batteries, or items with refrigerant will be accepted.
Items we cannot accept:
Chemicals of any kind including paint, stain; appliances with Freon (air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators), large appliances, hot water heaters, built-in dishwashers, organs, pianos, ping pong tables, pool tables, metal desks, waterbeds, mattresses, box springs, building supplies (doors, windows, lumber, toilets, etc.), tires, batteries, bed frames, encyclopedia sets, child car seats 5 years or older, cribs, no toiletries and no liquids.
All donated items must be in good working order.
